I'm having a problem with Apex... I feel like the pacing in this book is so slow. There are events that are happening here that should have taken place in book 2. Then this 3rd book would've had much more impact. The stakes in book 3 feel lower than the other 2 and that doesnt make sense.  Even book in this series got slower and slower paced which is such a shame because the series started with a bang.

Marks death didnt have any effect on me at all. I dont feel we got enough of him to really feel of create a connection. Speaking of, I don't believe the romance between Josh and Joy.  <Spoiler>
