This is Devil’s Night by Penelope Douglas mixed with a very bad Haunting Adeline ordered on Wish. 
I read this because it was recommended to me as a dark ice hockey romance, I was thoroughly disappointed. This book is every kink
(blood, knive, breeding, breath, dubious consent)
mixed together with every trope leaving the story mudded.
