I really enjoyed this; I think moreso than the first book in the series (even though I’m giving them the same star ranking, lol). I think that while it was an accurate portrayal of the messiness of revolution, I found The Unbroken to be so bleak and it just seemed like Touraine couldn’t win. Honestly it was nice to have a change of pace and for Luca to be the one suffering to such an extent for the majority of the book. I also really loved how their relationship with each other and with all the other characters developed from book 1. This was a brick of a book and so it took me a little while to get through it (court politics aren’t always the most intriguing to me either), but overall I had a good time!
