It took a bit to finish this series and it was certainly a rollercoaster. At points I hated the writing and the characters were bland but conversely, sometimes the story was intense and captivating and I found myself loving it! I have to say this series very much overused a ton of typical teen YA tropes and there wasn’t really anything new in terms of plot, it felt like a basic YA adventure romance type book with a consequential sci-fi storyline. This book was an average finale and I would still say that AIDAN was by far the best and most interesting character. I’ll give the book credit for an awesome original and intriguing format with the mixed media approach. But otherwise it was a decent trilogy.
