King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair

3.0

2.5 stars rounded up. Yes I did read this in one setting and I was thoroughly entertained but it literally felt like a copy/ paste of FBAA??? Like so many of the elements in this made me feel like I was reading FBAA 2.0 ( plus size MC who is good with a knife and is not like the other girlies because she knows how to fight, vampire king/kingdom that’s seen as the “bad guys” only because Isolde was told a biased/wrong history and the vampire kingdom is actually filled with good people and her people are actually not that great of people/ landscape that sprouted question (blood/red) trees, worship of gods/goddesses in different parts of the world). The sex scenes were also alright. They felt very repetitive and towards the end I was like bestie, can we please change it up a bit. Will I read the sequel?? Most likely, but I do have a thing for vamp books (thank u twilight). Hopefully the sequel has some more OG content in it….
