Twisted Together by Pepper Winters

5.0

I feel a certain duty to say that one simply cannot just read Tears of Tess and be done. One simply cannot just read Tears of Tess and Quintessentially Q and be done. If you don’t continue on to read AND finish Twisted Together you will be doing yourself a disservice. A disservice of missing out on an incredible character arc for Quincy and even more so for Tess.

Q has yet to overcome his greatest battle with his demons. Tess has yet to overcome her guilts and fears. The way they came together in this book and completely obliterated those faults was an incredible journey. I know I say with every Pepper Winters book I read that she takes me through all the emotions, but please believe me when I say the emotions I felt throughout this book were on another level.

TESS IS MY QUEEN! I will forever hold chapter 13 close in my memory bank. I feel like I stepped into Tess’ mind and we thought as one. Every way she reacted and everything she did I know I would have done had I been her. The amount of rage and happiness I felt at the same time was cathartic. I SCREAMED with utter relief and pride for her actions. The Queen slayed. She came out a better and stronger version of the old Tess.
