Phew, thanks 'Sparrow' for being so tough to get through that I'm getting all the Little House books reread. Even as I kid, I always liked the books with Almanzo in them just a little bit more than the Laura books, and that assessment holds up. Flew through this one. Remembered a lot more of the individual anecdotes (the big boys getting whipped, Almanzo finding the wallet) than I did of previous books. Hope I can get the kids into these.
