Anna Matheson arranges a mysterious train trip for revenge against the people who destroyed her family twelve years earlier.

I get it, everyone wants to do AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. The thing is, not everyone should.

I like Riley Sager a lot and he remains an auto-buy author for me, but unfortunately this one just didn’t land the way I hoped. I was bored for most of the plot, and this felt simultaneously like it was trying too hard and not doing enough. There was also a specific moment towards the end that I was not able to suspend my disbelief for, which definitely affected my overall rating.

All of this said, this book was not BAD, and there are plenty of people with excellent taste who will probably love it! I wish I was one of them, and I hope you have a better experience than me if you pick this one up.

CW: Death/murder/death of parent; suicide; injury/blood; mentions of terminal illness
