His Boss for Christmas by Alessandra Hazard
4.0
This was really cute. I don’t know why so many people are complaining about the story being under developed, since it is clearly a novella. It starts out with a quick mention of a spell gone wrong, and most of Europe and the eastern US is hit with some sort of love spell that makes everyone feel an urge to physically move towards their soulmate.
Combine that with Hazards books about terrible bosses which she has written a few of before. Justin is Peter’s assistant at a law firm. They have some great banter, as they seem to really annoy each other, but are also very attracted to each other. They have remained professional over the years, until now when they feel an irresistible urge to be together. Of course it’s somewhat ridiculous how long it takes them to figure it out, but Peter is a cynic, and the whole novella is from his POV. I would have loved to have seen more of them together (and more spice
