Okay, truly, I need to learn not to judge a book by its cover. I would have never picked this up to even read the blurb based on the cover, but someone recommended it to me as a transition from my more typical thriller genre picks into romance (I want to branch out), and honestly, I think they picked the perfect book for it. I have issues with the overall writing tone; despite some mildly spicy scenes, some of the rest of the writing comes across quite unsophisticated. Nevertheless, I really quite enjoyed the book and will read the next in the series to find out what happens. I mean, how could I not with that cliffhanger ending!
