deadletterboy 's review for:
The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion
by Margaret Killjoy
A tight, fun novella.
Introduces some great characters that I can't wait to spend more time with, and gives them a unique threat to face off against. The monster is something special, and while the mythology behind it might get explored more later, it doesn't necessarily have to be.
A few characters were a little thin (the "villains" in particular) but I loved the unique setting and the outcast ethos behind the cast. As a person who grew up as a punk, it felt like every basement show I've ever been to.
Just a blast.
