The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor
3.0

Obviously an interest new take on some great characters. Some characters turned out great (Hatter Mattigan "the mad hatter" one of the BEST characters, I loved him!) and some not so good (Quite honestly, I loved Alice, not so much Alyss...). The book moved very quickly through a multitude of plot points, sometimes too quickly, sometimes not quickly enough. I liked the book overall, but could tell two things, 1. This was Frank Beddor's first published novel. 2. He had a rough time getting through a few particular sections in the writing and editing stages.
Summation: I'll read the sequels, just, not yet.
