The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood
4.0
I have similar opinions on this one as I do Oryx and Crake. It loses points for those annoying-ass God's Gardener hymns (they are just extremely not good), but it gains those points back for having women protagonists with deep interiority. Again, trigger warnings for everything, and again, the way sexuality is portrayed is very ominous and disturbing, in a way that I'm not sure reflects reality outside the context of someone who's suffered severe trauma. Also quite heteronormative. That said, again, a very good book from a narrative standpoint, and an interesting look at the rest of the world that was introduced in Oryx and Crake.
