A bit of a mix bag with this one.
The worldbuilding and government set up was so intriguing to me especially the capitalism parts. I was a little bit bored for the first half as I felt like not an awful lot happened, but after that I was hooked.
This really is a perfect dystopian book with the balance of suspense and romance.
I was routing for Inesa throughout she has so much love and kindness in a world where people will do anything to survive and Mel is the complete opposite with shoot first ask later mentality.
It has some dark times with the mutant creatures & humans and the twisted backstories of the angels.
That ending really was something and I was a fool to think it would be different when I still had 30 pages left. It was a disappointing ending and I feel like there may be a sequel but also not, there was some closure with something lacking.
