The Windfall by Diksha Basu
5.0
This book. This book was breathtaking, in a heartbreaking sort of way, and I don’t even know what I mean by that.
I loved it. I actually read it twice in the time period of start-finish. The first time I read it so so slow. The second time, I read it faster, engaged with it more now that I knew it better. The authors way of turning phrase and mingling the Indian way of life with the American one, juxtaposing modernization with old school “This is the way we always do it” mentalities? Beautifully done.
Read this one. Everyone should read this one.
