Mrs. Fletcher by Tom Perrotta
2.0

I vowed not to read any more books by white men this year, and temporarily lost my mind and read this one. It was disjointed with a rushed and nonsensical wrapped-up-too-neatly ending. Perrotta also incorporated a trans character with varying degrees of success and I wanted to know more about her story. There was a scene with a multigenerational threesome and a lot of sexist commentary about women watching porn that just added to the overall feeling of "oh, of course a middle-aged white man thinks this" that just seeps through every page of the book. And with that, I am back to swearing off books by white men for at least the rest of this year.
