I wasn’t planning on saying much about this book but the end (literally the last like 15 pages) kind of messed me up big time. I don’t think I have ever read depression written this well. I related to Mickey going through such a hard time trying to make long lasting decisions while also trying to live life. His & Dorian’s struggles w depression made me feel v seen.

Also the romance was just cute. I came for romance & left w a complex view of depression. How wonderful. I like how none of the normal third act romance tropes were used & we really just got to know our characters & then the book was over. That was cool. Maybe I’m into sports romance now omg.

ALSO!! 10/10 for diversity. V well done. I wanna read more gay, alt Black characters IMMEDIATELY!!! Also, polyam?? I’ve never read that before in a book either. Wonderful.
