This duet was really good overall; I loved the development and backstory depth of each character, the pacing at which their bonds were formed, and the little bit of suspense on the side. There was so much that I liked, but one component that I didn’t care for was the FMCs treatment for the first chunk of book 1. Sure the MMCs grew emotional connections to her over time, but it didn’t feel like they truly gained feelings until they “realized” her beauty, which felt shallow and undeserving in a way.

There was something about this reverse harem that felt different than others I've read, I just can't seem to put my finger on what it was. The spice was detailed and fun, but I thought there would have been more of it quantity wise. The first part ends in a cliffhanger, and most of book 2 is spent on the boys groveling, so maybe there just wasn’t enough storyboard time to squeeze more in.
