and here we are

took me a while to read this, like the first one, because although i really like short stories, i think 40 is a lot, and i need my time

i definitely enjoyed the from a certain point of view of a new hope more. i just think overall there were more stories in this where i didn’t really care too much. a couple of stories meant a lot, but most of them were just okay, and didn’t stay with me that much, whilst other were just boring.

i don’t like to admit this, but the stories i enjoyed the most are the ones that have the characters we already know in them, although it’s also kinda normal i think.

as an obi wan lover i always live for his insight on scenes we already know, and his story was very funny and sad and on brand, loved it.

one story i did not expect and that left me speechless is the one with luke and the medical droid. because it gave us not necessarily more of luke’s thoughts in those final moments of the movie, but it straight up gave us some new scenes with the main character, something i don’t remember the first book doing. and it was incredibly sweet and sad and important imo.

i think the thing that worked less in this book is the fact that most of the stories were around two events mainly: hoth and cloud city. and even if the characters and stories were different, it became repetitive after a while im ngl. i did love the story about the space worm asteroid.

so yeah, i’ve not heard great things about the from a certain point of view of return of the jedi, but i’m certainly gonna read it when the paperback version is released
