All That Matters by Susan X. Meagher

4.0

I think this book was able to handle several hard topics like who your family is as well as uncoupling, crossing religions, boundaries in relationships, differing views, and pregnancy in general. It did feel a bit long, but there I think that helps readers understand more of the complexity of pregnancy and how it can change relationships (I have never been pregnant nor in a serious relationship of any kind). Overall this book is definitely more for more mature readers and contains quite a bit of adult/sexual content that I wasn’t quite expecting. However, I do think this was good to be in the book because it reminds readers and pregnant women are still human and can be sexual— which is another topic discussed in the book. I haven’t read much following pregnant women, but I assume this is a pretty good telling of that sort of journey because it did teach me quite a bit.
