Only If You're Lucky by Stacy Willingham

It took me a moment to get into this one because the first two-thirds of the book have absolutely nothing going on, other than the mundanity of the social life of college students. This is not to say that the author lacks talent; I actually really like her style of writing. This is a slow-burn suspense/whodunit with subtle clues scattered throughout borning-ness that is the first portion of the book. Everything wraps together in the end with a satisfying, yet twisted conclusion to the story. I found parts of it to be predictable and other parts that took me by surprise.

I found the main character to be annoyingly obsessed with her deceased friend Eliza and her new friend Lucy. Girl has some CLEAR attachment issues. She's a far cry from a heroine and is actually quite pathetic. But aside from the main character being unlikable and the first portion of the book being a bit boring, this still was a good read, and it was hard to put down.
