I don’t know if this was the “right” place to start but this was my introduction to Pushkin. With that being said, I really enjoyed this book. The short stories had an almost fairy tale quality to them as fate, chance, and everything in between affected the story’s characters. Some stories also gave an interesting look at high-class Russian society. While it was my first experience with Pushkin it certainly won’t be my last.
