We witness here an other part of Canada's métis history, but (like with the two previous books) the broken narration of the events and many characters made it difficult to fully appreciate the story. But knowing Echo and leader Louis Riel (from the previous books) helped to connect with the event. It's sad to see that in some aspects Métis are stil struggling for their own rights now.
