Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
4.0
3,5, rounded up to four. Don't get me wrong, it's a good book. It's written well. It's an original story. But maaaaan, it was misery, after misery, after misery. Everyone was hurt, and then hurt some more, and then they started hurting each other. And damn.
I hate the miscommunication trope, I hate it when characters lie to each other. The ending felt rushed, the acceptance too sudden, some story lines were unnecessary or unfinished (like the little girl with Down Sydrome, or the story line about Amy... What happens to Ramon? DOES HE EVER GET HIS BRONCOS MUG?).
So no, it's a well written story, it's an original story, but it's not living up to the hype for me. And for the people out there claiming these are the smuttiest books ever; hit me up for some recs. There's nothing wrong with the smut in this book, but it's rather tame. So if you ever want anything with a little more flavor, know it's out there.
