I have only actually read the abridged version. I give the abridged version a five. Someday I will finish the unabridged and we'll see if it's just as great.
Edited to add: I read the unabridged version and really liked it as well. There are so many more subplots that I sometimes had a hard time keeping track of, but still loved the story.
