Save for the old use of the n-slur, I found exactly what I was looking for character and movement. In the past Woolf’s overly-descriptive nature would not catch my interest; however, reading for the goal of turning Orlando into a dance piece actually endowed every detail, color, symbol, and movement description with purpose and power. I am excited to explore the next creative process.
Graphic: Racial slurs and Racism
Unnecessary use of n-word, disrespect toward dead head of black person, as well as the stereotyping and sexualization of Black women, g-word and potentially more racial slurs that I skimmed over just to get throught it
