Shucked

Beck, you are living rent free in my head and heart.
I really loved the small town vibe and the way the community felt protective of each other. The characters capture you from page one. The side characters were so lovely and funny and held their own space within the plot.
Sunny's reality created obstacles she had no choice but adapt to and she wasn't going to let it hold her back, she was resilient. Beck, I related to him in so many ways, but mainly for balancing all the roles while making sure no one can see you crack. He's eternally grumpy, a smidge controlling, and just needs a hug. There were so many layers to who he was. Watching Sunny discover this and peel them back was messy but dreamy.
Really loved the banter and tension between Sunny and Beck, and let me tell you that slow build up is worth the wait.
