Prahlad is a story of revenge and betrayal.
This is the third book in the Narasimha trilogy and I haven't read the first two books. But that didn't pose an obstacle while reading this book.
In Prahlad, the previous followers of truth and virtues have turned sinister and all they believe in is revenge. Sometimes people have to go against their father figures to ensure that the truth prevails. This book is about the venture of Parvati, Narasimha, Prahlad and many others to attain what their heart desires.
This is the first book I have read by this author, but I'm sure this is not going to be the only one. I'm in love with the narrative style. The touch of mystery and the way he ends each chapter with a cliffhanger... I can't get enough of this narrative style!
I'm a big fan of mythological retellings and this is one of the best books I have ever read.
What to expect...
⚔️ Betrayal
Children betray their parents. Parents betray children. Friends betray each other. Masters betray their soldiers. People, who were once loyal betray their rulers.
⚔️ Death
Innocent people die. Sons and daughters die. Nothing is the same any more.
⚔️ Strong female characters
This book portrays strong female characters. I loved Parvati! All her companions... Powerful!!!
⚔️ Willpower
Even the villains show strong willpower to attain what they desire.
