I definitely recommend this series to cheesy romance lovers! The first time I read the books was in late middle school. Re-reading it as an adult was so strange. I still loved the story and could see how it’s perfect for teenagers. It’s interesting how I was able to enjoy it but have an entirely different perspective and value for the characters. My opinion of Belly and Jeremiah was a complete 180 from when I read it before. I realized the Conrad deserved so much better, because he really worked to change whereas Belly and Jere didn’t. When I was younger I felt bad for Belly, but honestly she could’ve handled her situation differently with less heartache. But that’s just my opinion
