This book started incredibly well!! The world-building around the witches and their magical houses was fascinating, but as the story progressed, it felt a bit too reminiscent of 'Hunger Games' and 'The Selection,' overshadowing the uniqueness of the witches system. It felt like the author was not comfortable with one topic or couldn´t elaborate it further so, she decided to just mix a bunch of different ideas together to fill the void.
Nonetheless, there were some very interesting and intricate details scattered throughout the story and again, the author left them out and never explained or even slightly mentioned them again, leaving me with a lot of questions about the world system.

My favorite thing about the book was Fate. This “character” brought a thrilling sense of mystery, blurring the lines of trust and free will in a captivating way. He was the sole reason I stayed for the whole thing.

¡Este libro comenzó increíblemente bien! La construcción del mundo alrededor de las brujas y sus casas fue fascinante, pero a medida que avanzaba la historia, comenzó a parecerse demasiado a 'Los Juegos del Hambre' y 'La Selección', opacando la originalidad del sistema de las brujas. Pareció que la autora no estaba cómoda con el tema original o no pudo desarrollarlo más, así que decidió simplemente mezclar un montón de ideas diferentes para llenar el vacío.

Lo que más me gustó del libro fue Fate. Este "personaje" fue perfectamente misterioso, difuminando las líneas de confianza y libre albedrío entre el y la personaje principal de una manera increible. Fue la única razón por la que me quedé hasta el final.
