Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner

4.0

At first I thought this was too similar to other stories of cheater-politician wives. However, I understand Weiner wrote it quite a while ago, so maybe she was actually ahead of the curve. Even so, I didn't think this was her best work; it was hard to identify with Sylvie and Lizzie, at least for me, and I didn't necessarily see the love between Sylvie and Richard. Also, the plot was paced somewhat strangely - slow in parts and then unnecessarily skipping time in other parts. I thought it was a little strange how there were several noticeable editing errors, which were distracting at times. Overall, though, it kept my attention and the characters were likeable and sympathetic. I wanted to keep reading to see how things turned out.
