Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness

5.0

So here’s the thing. I freaking love this book. I love the Elizabethan era, and I love how Deborah Harkness skillfully weaves this incredible tale of witches, vampires, and daemons.

Harkness brings history to life and fuses it effortlessly with the supernatural world.

The character Gallowglass was made specifically to delight me. I typically don’t save tons of love for characters outside of the “main’s”, but he is an exception.

Not only am I hoping for more of this character in the final book of the All Souls trilogy, but I hope Harkness writes a book based on his character alone!

The concepts of time travel and weaving witchcraft feels unique, earthy, and natural.

I am excited and saddened to being the final book of this epic adventure.

Happy reading!
