Billionaire romance 🤧

“ We don’t fit together, yet we’re perfect together because we’ve made it so, because we’re willing to work on us.”

Are y’all sure about that???? 🫣
I don’t know how to really rate this book. This was your typical Billionaire Romance there really wasn’t anything that stood out to me. I read this one first because I did not realize that it was a series. I rated this one slightly higher because I like the pacing in this book and I felt that the characters had a tiny bit more potential to be written better! I felt that you could somewhat see a three dimensional person when they were described.

With that being said I also felt like they were still basic characters and nothing really stood out about them. Also, some a lot of very cringe scenes and phrases!
Example, the sexual punishment?!?!?!? For an abuse victim?!?!? I- 👁️👄👁️ “I don’t want to punish you, beautiful, but I will if I have to.” This was not hot 🥴! There were so many more examples! “My good girl. My future wife. I can’t wait to have her. She’s so fucking small… can she even take me?” I BEG YOUR BIGGEST PARDON?!?!?!

Dion wasn’t really as “dark” as he’s made out to be. When we eventually find out why he’s considered dark it’s like… *crickets*  🧍🏾‍♀️. The grandma was really pissing me off and NO SHES NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. In fact, by only reading 2 books in this series I know that she’s WRONG most of the time!!! That lady’s word is not bible.
PLUS WHY WAS HE SO MAD ABOUT THE DAMN COTTAGE?!?!?!?!? I till this day don’t understand why he made that into such a big deal! Especially with knowing her past.
I didn’t form any attachments to the characters. I only felt sympathetic towards Faye. Their “love” story is not love. I don’t know what it is. I wont be reading the rest of the series.
