 Caught in a compromising position, they enter into an understanding: at the end of 2 weeks they will announce their engagement to save them from scandal.
This is kind of a twist on fake dating since the whole story takes place over 2 weeks while they’re staying at someone’s country home.
I really liked the fmc, she was clever, no nonsense, but a bit of a mess. The mmc was all in right from the start.  I got some Sherlock and Watson vibes from them as they tried to solve a mystery, which was fun.
I haven’t read many of her books but Tessa Dare always makes me laugh.
