I am utterly blown away by how fantastic the art style conveys the passage of time and overall storytelling! The way Albon masterfully depicts gluttony from capitalist elites eating at Tulips is unparalleled. I am intrigued by how quickly the narrative went from a humble country boy to a devious immoral restauranteur in a matter of pages. Everything is so normal until it absolutely isn't and doesn't miss a beat! Rowan is the only normal person around. This book also reminds me of The Bear and Blood Diner (1987) because of the
cannibalistic vibes
. I think the ending felt a bit rushed since the climax and falling action seemed to smash into each other abruptly. But I suppose, it could simply be a reaction to how someone's career can begin and end in a flash with how fast-paced everything is nowadays. Regardless, I had a lot of fun reading this and can't wait to check out more of his work.
