Like it's predecessor this is a book of two halves. Following on from "Pandemic" the book starts slow and I really struggled through the first 250 pages. Luckily as I was about to give up the story picked up immensely.

There were still some too good to be true coincidences, and at times it was difficult to follow the motives of all involved. I understand this was intentional to some extent, but at times I didn't even remember a character's surface intention - let alone the double and triple crossing.

I think if you've read Pandemic and enjoyed it it is worth finishing the story - the ending to this book is far more satisfying than what you're left with in book one. However, I'm not sure I would recommend the series as a whole.
