Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko

4.0

Ifueko has managed to do the impossible of creating a fresh and unique story within the massively overpopulated YA space! YA is very hit or miss for me but books like Raybearer remind me why I still love YA.

The narrator had such a lush voice full of beautiful descriptions. The characters were well realised, both good and evil. But Raybearers main positive is the wonderfully written setting, full of different religions and cultures which were fabulous to read about.

Not what I expected at all in the best way and now I’m excited to read Redemptor!
