Yes it did take almost a year to read this. I kept getting distracted by other books and honestly, stuck in the middle of this one. I didn't enjoy it as much as his others. That ending.....was pretty damn good. The plot did start picking up around page 600. By then I was seeing litle patterns, those little hints that Stephen King does so well. They all started coming together and the book was then much mofre enjoyable to read. Would I read it again? Maybe not. Probably look to The Shining or Mr Mercedes series as rereads instead.
