it happened one summer is one of the BEST romance novels i have read.
ever.

i can't even fathom that this book is real. i don't think i can survive 5 months until fox and hannah's book comes out...especially not after that sneak peek bonus scene at the end. but we'll get there when we get there.
i don't think i've loved two characters more. and i KNOW i say that a lot, but this time i really, honestly mean it. piper touched the inside corners of my heart. she is such a relatable character, one of my favourite characters ever. i loved LOVED HOW MUCH SHE GREW without ever compromising the things that made piper piper.
i don't think i've ever recalled a time when i was fully into a book as much as this one. i was consumed with the thoughts of brendan, piper, hannah, westport, piper...smut...spicy...fishermen...
AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE FISH. BUT NOW I DO.

guys i literally lost my mind laughing at the beginning with the whole instagram thing. something about it was so charming and endearing.
i lost my mind when brendan realized he loved piper.
i lost my heart when piper realized she loved brendan.
overall this was one of the best romance books i've read, ever. the communication. the build-up. the smut, the tension, the love....it's one of the best things. i am moving into more tessa bailey RIGHT NOW and hopefully i can read hook, line, sinker soon. i would sell my left kidney to read it right now.
