The ending was a bit abrupt, i would have appreciate a chunkier ending. But I really enjoyed the book - I was eager to pick it up and could have kept on reading until the end. (I read it for a readalong).
The pace and flow of the book was spot on, I liked the little reminders it was set in the mid 90s. They were subtle and didn't get annoying or overbearing.
I adore the design of the book (Illumicrate/Evernight edition), its such a stand out piece for me.
That one time April broke the 4th wall was odd; do it a lot or never. Once is just confusing, i must have read that line like 5 times thinking I was reading it wrong.
Maybe a couple Eddie pov's would have increased my attachment to him.
But I really want more of the Snell sisters, I do hope Simone St.James revisits them when they are a bit older. The Snell Detective Agency. FTW.
