GUSH GUSH GUSH I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH
I honestly couldn’t put it down, read it all day because I refused to do anything else, I have so much love in my heart for these two characters. Magnus and Alec are my favourite couple in the TMI series and I always felt they weren’t in the books as much as they should have been. So when I found out there was going to be a series about them I was highly anticipating it. In this book we get to see Malec develop as a couple at the start of their relationship and we also find out more about them individually and I really feel I know them a lot better now.

It was great seeing them begin their relationship and how Magnus has to get used to someone taking care of him for a change and putting him first and also them having doubts as a lot of people do at the start of relationships as they start to really get to know the person.

It isn’t like Cassie’s other books it’s a lot more lighthearted and just an easy read which is probably why I loved it so much, it was such a nice break from the heart wrenching feeling I get from her other books. It was also great listening to music from the Shadowhunter show that played during Malec scenes as I read it gave me so many more feels. I’m even more excited for the rest of the series as they will be further in time and we’ll get to see how they are in the future with their relationship being more serious. I’d happily read about Malec all day tbh.

Also seeing Magnus being soft and worried for Alec makes my heart so warm ♥️
