This is a perfect sweet Christmas romance to kick off the season and to accompany me on a reading retreat cruise with my daughter. The parents of Reggie and Dena decide to have a Christmas renew their vows wedding they never experienced as they eloped. Reggie returns to her small Washington State town of Wishing Tree for the first time since she was dumped by her former fiancé. Dena is a teacher who owns the local B & B- she has given up on love and is having a child on her own without a dad. As soon as Reggie gets to town she realizes that her high school sweetheart is back with an 8 year old son running a national pie business that he has moved back home to be with his grandmother. And Dena rents a room in the B&B to a famous rock star who is mourning his wife. The two sisters find love at Christmas time despite their best efforts to avoid it. there are two adorable dogs in the book to make it sweeter than it is to start. I’ll be leaning heavily into these types of books this month as i try to address what will be some difficult days at work. This one was just the ticket.
