Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos absolutely lives up to its name—in the best, most unhinged way. I went in expecting broody paranormal vibes and got a vampire romcom murder mystery with banter so sharp it could stake a vamp. Celine is a sarcastic, emotionally walled-off detective thrown into a serial killer case that’s somehow both horrifying and hilarious (the smiley face with fangs? I screamed). Then Zavier shows up: a centuries-old vampire with golden retriever energy and a truly chaotic obsession with her. His internal monologue had me wheezing, and his relentless “I’ll be whatever job gets me near her” antics were so unhinged I couldn’t help but love him. It’s messy, it’s funny, it’s weirdly tender—and yes, the slutty glasses were absolutely a selling point.
