I don't normally get much into books with a lot of political intrigue, but I loved the characters so much, I was swept up in what they were doing. What a fascinating look at trying to understand a very different culture from your own in a very politically tense time, and coming out on the other side with a deeper understanding both for your own culture and the one you've been immersed in.
