I knew nothing about this book before I started reading it except that it is historical fiction set during WWII. OMG I am so glad I walked into it completely open, because "Freakin' Wow!" And like the other reviewers I do not want to say anything else... but, Read It! However, I have to admit I had to push myself a little through the first 100 pages, but it quickly became so very worth it. So you may have some trouble convincing reluctant readers of any kind (the print is smaller than many YA books, it is longer, and there are foreign places names and some dialect), but do what you can because the pay-off is huge. Definitely in my top ten of last year! The buzz and hooplah are completely deserved on this one!
