Plot or Character Driven:

Loveable characters:
Complicated
Diverse cast of characters:
Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
Like its predecessor, this novel is a masterpiece.
R. Scott Bakker may not be a prolific author, but he is among the finest I have had the pleasure of reading. His world-building and characters are so eminently real. His prose is absolutely fantastic.
I would be hard-pressed to name even a single flaw in this novel.
I would call this novel even better than the first, but that would be an inaccuracy. The Darkness That Comes Before and The Warrior-Prophet are very much singular, and while I have only just begun The Thousandfold Thought, I am nearly certain it will be the same.
If you love dark/grimdark fantasy, if you are a fan of GRRM and ASoIaF, if you enjoy the works of Joe Abercrombie or Steven Erikson...
Read these novels!
