πβππ‘ πΌ πππ£ππ:
- Fableβs narrative kept me hooked, questioning, and eager to find answers and learn more about her background!
- Fable as a character is fierce, likable, and curious. She was an easy heroine to root for as an underdog.
- The side characters and their relationships were interesting and I couldnβt wait to learn more about them.
πβππ‘ πΌ π€ππ β π€πππ πππππππππ‘:
- Although the writing is enchanting, the plot was drawn out and the story isnβt very fast-pacedβleaving me wanting more from it.
- This book seemed more like it was setting the stage for something bigger rather than standing on its own as a novel.
- It ended with a terrible cliffhanger and very little resolution. π©
ππ£πππππ:
This book is a bit of a different breed for YA fantasy. Itβs definitely a slower read, but the author keeps you entranced with her beautiful writing and intriguing characters. I still enjoyed the book and plan on getting the sequel when it comes out! If you like Pirates of the Caribbean, seafaring stories, and characters with uniquely intwined relationships get this book!
