I like how the book was so easy to read and how the author incorporated text messages to show the friendships that Eve has with the small community in LA. I like how we explore to figure out where Ezra has gone, why he's been missing, and whether it's all in Eve's hands. Eve is trying to investigate her friend's disappearance, retracing his last steps, and if he ever gets found. I like the environment and setting in Los Angeles, exploring the restaurants, and getting to know all the people surrounding Eve.
CONS
It's fucked up the way that Eve keeps the secret from Ezra about being able to talk to their deceased friend, Miguel. Figuring out where Ezra has been pretty anti-climactic, but I don't even think the book is about him, it's more about Eve and the reader realizing how she has fucked up the friendships with the people that she loves the most. There are moments where Eve drinks and does a shit ton of drugs, just to mask how she's hurt people in the past, whether it's her ex-girlfriend, her relationship with Ezra and even the supporting characters that she only reaches out to when her best friends are nowhere to be found.
