This story is about a girl who walks into a battlefield of open fire with her head held high, and her presence as the only weapon. The story? Interesting. The characters? Intriguing. The plot twists? Heart breaking.

The writing? Ground breaking.

I felt like I was being hypnotised throughout this whole book, for the narrative is nothing like I've ever read. How could someone be so convincing, be so inflicting on your emotions, when they have such a steady voice? The narrative voice doesn't get loud, it doesn't whisper, it doesn't get excited, and it doesn't get angry. It just speaks. And speaks. And then speaks some more. Until it is all you can hear.
