“I love you, Charlie.” He tucks the words into the hollow base of Charlie’s throat, just for the two of them. “All of you.”
Charlie leans back so he can see Dev’s face. “I love all of you, too.”

IM ABOUT TO CRY UGLY TEARS. THIS BOOK WAS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. it’s incredibly rare to feel so seen and heard in a book, and i wish i could thank the author 100x times over for creating such a complex book about self discovery, mental health, queer love and just love in general as a whole. so many important topics were discussed, but the book was also very FUNNY (omg a book’s jokes weren’t cringe???), lighthearted and slightly steamy?? i enjoyed every second of it.

the mental health representation and how it was carefully dealt and discussed was AMAZING! the topics on labels, no labels, religious households, being overworked, discriminatory workplaces etc plots and storylines for EVERY character was just chefs kiss. I LOVE DEV AND CHARLIE SO MUCHHHHH!!! i loved how they love. i loved their character growth and their journey of accepting that they deserve love no matter what and i loved how dev’s depression and charlie’s OCD and anxiety was handled.

the side characters/friends were ALL so important to the plot and i really appreciate that. skylar’s story about her and their partner really moved me. i love reading adult queer stories because queer love and our journeys don’t just end once we get older, we don’t all have to have it figured out. and as an adult myself who’s also on the asexual spectrum the representation in this book made me wanna cry i was so moved. this book had IT ALL and had some of the best mental health representation and diversity in general i’ve ever read

side note: i’m rambling so i need to story before i write a 7 page mla formated essay, but SKYLAR, JULES AND PARISA ARE THR BESTTTT and ryan is actually not that bad
